Q. What does each box include?

The Happy Trunk boxes come in two different age groups. The 3-7 year boxes are themed activity boxes with art, craft and science activities. Each box has all materials and know how to complete 2-3 projects inspiring creativity and exploration.

The Happy Trunk boxes for 8-11 year age group are designed differently. These boxes do not follow a particular theme. Each box comes with 2-3 projects, one more geared towards arts & crafts, and one towards scientific exploration. All materials and know how included.

Q. What age group is The Happy Trunk appropriate for?

Our boxes are two tiered: the young kid boxes geared towards kids ages 3-7 years, and the big kid boxes for ages 8-11 years. The young kid and big kid boxes are structured differently, to suit these appropriate age groups. Every project in our boxes are designed by early childhood educators and parents, and tested by our very own team of kids.

Q. How does the subscription/membership work for The Happy Trunk?

Simply sign up for the monthly subscription to The Happy Trunk.

Q. How much is the shipping?

There is also an additional sales tax for Colorado billing and shipping addresses.

We can ship to Canada at an extra shipping rate of $9.95 per month.

Q. How do I pay?

We accept credit card payments online. Alternately you can call at our customer service at 303-578-9562 to place your order between 9:00am-5:00pm MST.

Q. When is my credit card charged?

If you sign up for the monthly subscription, your credit card will be charged right away for your first Happy Trunk box. Thereafter, your credit card will be charged on monthly on the same date, for boxes to ship out between 15th and 20th of every month.

For example, if you sign up on October 28th, your credit card will be charged right away for your box. You will be shipped November box on Nov. 20th. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time.

For 3 month, 6 month and annual subscriptions, your credit card is charged in full for the length of the subscription. Auto-renewing subscriptions (pay every 3, 6 or 12 months) are only eligible for cancellation after the initial prepaid term has been completed.

For gifts, your credit card is charged at the time of the gift purchase. Gift subscriptions do not auto renew.

Q. When will I get my Happy Trunk box after I sign up for a monthly subscription?

We ship between the 15th and 20th of each month. So if you sign up on June 21st, your box will ship out July 17th. If you sign up June 14th, your boxes will ship out June 15th. We have an estimated 5-10 business days shipping time.

The same shipping schedule holds true if you sign up for a gift subscription to be sent to the child. If the gift card is sent, then the shipping schedule begins when the parent redeems the gift card.

Q. How do I check on status of my order?

You can log into your account on our website to check the status of your order.

Q. Can I return my box?

Due to the nature of projects, we do not accept returns on monthly activities. If any product was damaged, please call us at 303-578-9562 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we’ll be happy to replace.

Q. Can I cancel my order?

For monthly subscriptions, you can cancel your order anytime before 15th of the month. There is no binding contract to The Happy Trunk subscription or membership. Cancellations received after 15th of the month will be processed the following month.

For 3, 6 or annual memberships –  These are eligible for cancellation only after the initial prepaid term has been completed. However, we will not automatically renew them if there is a cancellation on any of these. However, you can gift or transfer your subscription.

Q. What if we move during our subscription?

Q. I have 2 kids, will one box be enough?

We include generous 2-3 activities and materials per theme per month, ideally for one child but not always to share equally for 2 kids.

If you’d like to add materials to the box, you can add a sibling box, which is only $9.95 for double the materials in the box. Of course you can order two boxes, one for each child.

Q. What if my packet got lost or I receive my box?
